WHAT WE LOVE: ‘Accuracy through electronics’ was truncated to Accutron by Bulova 63 years ago as they introduced their Tuning Fork technology to the public. This limited edition model was made to celebrate 60 years of the Accutron as well as to introduce the newest movement to join the Accutron family. The original Accutron movement took about a decade of research and development and this new movement took about the same amount of time. Powered by the two electrostatic turbines in the bottom half of the dial, these are activated by the wearers motion and fire their charge into the ‘modem’ between 9 and 12 o’clock. This accumulates and regulates the watch to an impressive accuracy of 5 seconds per month.
